What do you know about CONSTIPATION?
Constipation is a common digestive disorder that can also be a pelvic health red flag.
Constipation is a common digestive disorder characterized by infrequent bowel movements and difficulty passing stools.
Studies have found that up to 45% of people with constipation have an underlying pelvic floor disorder. When the pelvic muscles are weak or tight, it can cause difficulty with bowel movements, which can lead to constipation.
The followings are some signs and symptoms that may indicate that you are constipated:
Infrequent bowel movements: Going fewer than three times per week is considered constipation.
Difficulty passing stools: This may include straining, feeling like you haven't completely emptied your bowel, or experiencing discomfort or pain during bowel movements.
Hard or lumpy stools: Constipation can cause the stools to become hard and difficult to pass.
Alternation between passing loose and hard stool.
Bloating and abdominal discomfort: Constipation can cause abdominal pain and discomfort, as well as a feeling of fullness or bloating.
